Relaxation Tips For Reducing Stress
In this area, I discuss my favorite and most effective natural relaxation tips. For a quick and fun distraction, try playing an online game. It takes your mind off your worries and the
stress relief games
listed on my site serve a double purpose. Perhaps you will be surprised how your stress can be turned into stress relief for those more unfortunate. Guided meditation is one of the easiest stress management strategies. I believe learning meditation techniques is a real must for everyone at this time on our planet. meditation mp3
tracks and a special meditation Power Point I made with music and guided meditation by the famous Drunvalo Melchezidek. Click on this link if you like going out into
beautiful nature
(like
my week in the 1000 Islands
) which can be very relaxing (and also stimulating-in a peaceful way). When you can't go outside, you can bring the beauty and sounds inside by clicking on this link which highlights
nature videos and animal videos
, and still to come to this site are both, nature music and the simple nature sounds. On amazon.com you can find many effective stress relief music CDs, and relaxing music of your choice, such as tai chi music. You can use amazon's extensive site to purchase single pieces of music for just 99 cents! Another inexpensive relaxation tool is a bottle or two of essential oils. The number one most effective, most valuable and most obtainable real oil is 100% pure lavender oil. I'll explain where to get it, what it should cost and what to do with it. Everyone needs a break. Where is the best place to go and what would be the best way to spend your time there? Consider looking to your birth date to personalize your next getaway. You can
choose a zodiac vacation!
Your FREE Stress Tip A mini-steam right at your desk will open your sinuses, your pores, your mind and give you a much needed highly rejuvenating break in your workday. Four Simple Steps - Pour hot water in a cup.
- Put 2 - 3 drops of an essential oil such as lavender, eucalyptus, or peppermint in the cup.
- Put your face over the cup and hold a large filefolder* over your head to create an enclosed environment (just tell your co-workers that you are having a private session with the little men who made your tea - they will REALLY leave you alone!)
- Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths.
*You may want to write on the outside of the file folder in black marker "Taking a 5 minute spa break - Do Not Disturb!". (Thanks for this relaxation tip, Marilee Tolen)
I'm going to jump in here with a quick personal confession: I also get stress relief from
online shopping
. I find it very relaxing to tune out for a while and concentrate on researching one particular product until I have found the best, cheapest and most effective version. Then I may, or may not, buy the item (researching and shopping, not buying are what relaxes me). When I can also find that item with free shipping then I've had the best shopping experience. One of my favorite online stores is www.endless.com! This is a shoe store that has free shipping and free return shipping and let's you do very refined searches. In conclusion: Make sure you give yourself at least a 10 minute breather every day and book a mini-vacation at least once a year!
