Meditation

Before accessing the meditation mp3 tracks on this page, some people may want a better idea of what meditation is.

I found this odd video (below) which does an excellent job of showing a beginner how to start meditating. I especially like that the animated teacher suggests the 7-7-7 breathing method, because it makes relaxing happen quickly, and when one is counting their breaths, the mind does not think about problems or worries.

The only thing this animation does not mention, which I think is also valuable for someone getting ready to start a routine, is that the best time to meditate is between 4am and 6am. However, if that's not possible, feel free to still have a great meditation at your own best time.

I also like that how this video mentions that if you are going to think during meditation, it's best to focus on thoughts of appreciation. If one understands the law of attraction, one can use phrases, like: "I really appreciate ________"

(add words that describe yourself doing or enjoying something in the present tense- ex. "driving my new gold car" or "lying on the deck of this beautiful cruise ship" or "holding my sweet, healthy newborn")

Stress relief meditation means taking five to 15 minutes out of your day to stop thinking. This creates quiet time for listening to silence which provides me with many valuable and beneficial effects.

There are many effective ways to do this:

  • You can listen to a recording, called a guided meditation, that will help you relax and help your mind go on a peaceful journey.
  • You can go for a walk and keep your mind empty of stressful thinking.
  • You can go outside, sit down with closed eyes and just listen to nature.
  • You can set a timer for 10 minutes; then go online and watch a beautiful video clip to feel relaxed and grateful. Have a pillow in your lap, to rest your arms on, and turn on a timer. Then close your eyes and spend the entire time focused on listening to your breathing and feeling grateful.

Send Your Mind on a 15 Minute Vacation

If you have 10-15 minutes of free time- you can dry clean your mind and take a serious step up in improving your experience of life.

Instructions:

1. Watch the video (with volume turned on) to get yourself in the right mood of appreciation, wonder and peacefulness.

2. Listen to the first audio track to get in a comfortable position for your meditation.

3. Listen to the second audio track to take your mind on a guided journey away from your present moment.

If you can do this once a day (or any 15 minutes of disconnecting from your normal thoughts will work) you will build the strongest defense against stress: your own personal bubble of protection that goes with you every where.

STEP 1. Plug in your headphones, and turn on the volume, before you click on the play button.

STEP 2: Get comfortable, and set your mind in meditation mode by listening to this short meditation mp3 track. Click the play button.

15 minutes of daily meditation is my personal meditation goal, because it's enough time to get into the zone and create a connection long enough to be in divine flow with your Source or higher self.

Here is one more beautiful experience to end this page. It is a 13 year-old girl playing TAPS with the world famous Andre Rieu in Maastrich, Holland. One can start a 15 minute meditation with this amazing performance.
