Lose Pounds Naturally

If you desperately want to lose pounds right away, and you don't feel like learning a new diet and you are not into cooking or exercising, just jump to my Isagenix page .

In this area of my website, I share the big picture with you on how I like to lose pounds with healthy drinks, and a system called Isagenix. I also explain my love for a raw diet, including "superfoods" and nutritional cleansing.

I have three favorite ways to lose pounds fast while at the same feeding my body with organic, high quality, nutrition-packed foods that cleanse my body of toxins.

All of my favorite methods to lose pounds help revitalize and regenerate cells in the body, which helps turn it into a powerhouse of strength and beauty. That's my ultimate health goal!

One method is using raw foods and drinking healthy drinks, like green tea and my favorite green drink -made from leaves like kale and romaine lettuce.

This is a great way to keep my blood's pH level balanced. If you are not eating alkaline veggies and avoiding high acid foods and drinks, your unbalanced pH levels are already having a serious impact on your health. You can learn a lot about pH levels on my page called "healthy drinks".

Another method of boosting the nutrients in your diet (which may balance your pH and allow your body to release fat), is by including as many "super foods" in a week's worth of eating as possible. Consider growing the most beautiful skin, that glows and is clear and soft, by reading my anti aging foods page.

My most exciting discovery is Isagenix It's the best way to lose pounds with nutritional cleansing. while giving your body a powerful leap into great health. I'd like to tell you all about this organic, nutritionally-focused diet and health maintenance system that allowed me to lose 30 pounds within three months. I'm ashamed to admit that I did not exercise at all during those three months (I won't make excuses for this poor choice). The only reason I mention it is because Isagenix recommends 20 minutes a day of any sustained cardio (like walking) but, although I was simply too tired and unmotivated to do this, I still managed to lose 30 pounds!

My next health upgrade plan is to do 20 minutes of very fast walking on the treadmill three times a week; followed by 15 minutes of weight bearing exercise for my arms and tummy. After that, my goal is to get yoga classes back into my weekly schedule.

I know being over weight is stressful. Here is my growing list of the best secrets you can use to reduce body fat (because it's NOT really about weight loss, since weight loss can come from muscle loss and nutrient depletion):

  • Eating foods that contain MSG, causes the pancreas to over-excite, converting any excess sugars in the body into fat cells. Almost all packaged and traditional restaurant foods contain some form of MSG. So think twice about purchasing or eating foods in packages.
  • 20 minutes of exercise (as simple as walking at your own fast pace) before or after you eat, will help your food not get stored as fat in your cells. That also results in more muscle building!
  • Since the hormone insulin is in charge of storing fat, it's important for us not to let it get to a high level in our blood. When insulin levels are up, all excess carbohydrates (meaning sugars) are converted to fat and put into storage in our body tissues (belly, or thighs, etc.). To make things even worse, high levels of insulin inhibit the release of the hormone lipase, which is in charge of telling the body to burn fat.

    What makes insulin go into over-production? Too much sugar in our blood. Our body likes to have about one teaspoon of sugar in our total 5-6 quarts of blood. The average American consumes 50 teaspoons of sugar every day.

    The best way to keep our insulin level low, is to stay away from processed foods and refined carbohydrates (ex. white rice and pasta made with white flour), and only eat a small amount of slow-acting carbs (ex. wheat tortillas, popcorn, oatmeal, lima beans, baked beans, low-fat chocolate milk, pineapple, Nutella, unsweetened orange juice, and peanuts).

So what should we eat instead?

  • Mostly raw vegetables,
  • Healthy high protein foods (ex. almonds, peanuts, cashews, eggs, peanut butter, yogurt, salmon, lean chicken, turkey, and tuna),
  • Saturated fats, like unrefined coconut oil and real butter (because saturated fats from animal and vegetable sources provide a concentrated source of energy in the diet; they provide the building blocks for cell membranes and a variety of hormones and hormone-like substances; and when part of a meal, they slow down absorption of nutrients so that we can go longer without feeling hungry. In addition, they act as carriers for important fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E and K; and these dietary fats are needed for the conversion of carotene to vitamin A, for mineral absorption and for a host of other processes),
  • Olive oil and omega-3s (ex. walnuts, ground flaxseeds, beans, fish, and winter squash) and
  • A little fresh fruit
